Got an automatic attraction? Then look into Kershaw's new Launch 1. This automatic knife features CPM154 blade steel, a strong opening kick, and is made-in-the-USA at Kershaw's Tualatin, Oregon manufacturing facility.
The CPM154 powdered metallurgy blade steel has more uniform distribution of carbides so it takes and holds an excellent edge. It also provides good corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and toughness. The blade is finished with our BlackWash finish for rough-and-tumble good looks and an additional measure of blade protection.
To lighten the Launch 1's weight, the handles are durable anodized aluminum and are contoured to fit snugly in the hand.
The Launch 1 opens with a push button, which is recessed so that it is level with the flat of the handle. This is a safety feature and makes it harder for the knives to accidentally deploy. Nevertheless, automatic knives are dangerous and should be handled with extreme caution in all circumstances.
The Launch 1's pocketclip is left/right reversible. For left-handed use, use your index finger instead of your thumb to press the blade-release/lock button.

SLEEKEST LAUNCH YET
Inspired by the look of classic Italian stilettos, the Kershaw Launch 8 modernizes this traditional design for a new generation of knife enthusiasts.
The Launch 8 features the sleek, symmetrical lines of a stiletto in a push-button knife that's lightweight—only 2.4 ounces—and easy-to-carry. The blade is CPM 154 with a stonewashed finish. This powdered metallurgy steel has a more uniform distribution of carbides, so it takes and holds an excellent edge. It also offers good corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and toughness. The slim blade is sharpened on one side, and it has a deep top grind to lighten weight and add stiletto style.
The handle is gray anodized aluminum with a handsome carbon fiber insert. To maintain the Launch 8's symmetrical look, the pivot is sunk deep in the handle and covered by the insert. UNDER 2-INCH BLADE
The popularity of Kershaw's Launch 4 has launched several new smaller automatics for 2019.
This is the Launch 9. And while it may look like a smaller version of our best-selling Launch 2, the Launch 9 has its own special appeal. Its compact size makes it easy to carry—and appropriate in a variety of situations where you wouldn't pull out a more aggressive-looking knife. It offers a refined look; almost a gentleman's automatic.
But only almost.' The Launch 9's drop-point blade is CPM 154 with a working' finish. This finish is somewhat rougher than stonewashed and meant to easily hide the scuffs and scratches that a working knife earns as it does its job. CPM 154 steel takes and holds an excellent edge, offers good corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and toughness.
Like the rest of the Launch series, the Launch 9's handle is anodized aluminum. In this case, it's anodized in basic matte black for everyday good looks. A push-button on the handle opens the knife quickly. Push the button again to release the blade to fold it back into the handle.
The Launch 9 features an integrated backspacer with a lanyard hole—perfect for a paracord attachment—and a reversible (left/right, tip-up) pocketclip.

SMALL, BUT MIGHTY
It's obvious why the new Launch 10 earned the nickname of The Claw' here at Kershaw HQ. It features an aggressive, hawkbill-style blade with angular planes on both blade spine and handle.
Yet even with all that angularity, the Launch 10 is comfortable to carry, hold, and use. The curved blade and the positioning of the razor-sharp tip make it especially handy when opening or breaking down boxes. Rope or cording is also easily mastered with the superb pull-cutting capabilities of the Launch 10.
The curved blade is made of CPM 154 steel with a stonewashed finish. The powdered metallurgy steel takes and holds an excellent edge, offers good corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and toughness. And while the claw-shaped blade curves downward, the handle—built of strong-yet-lightweight anodized aluminum—sweeps up. This balances the overall look of the knife and provides a secure grip.
The integrated backspacer includes a large lanyard hole and the Launch 10's deep-carry pocketclip is left/right reversible (tip-up). A push-button on the handle opens the knife quickly. Push the button again to release the blade and fold it back into the handle.

SHORT ON BLADE, TALL ON STYLE
For 2016, we made something special for our neighbors to the south. And since we're in Oregon, of course we mean California. So for you, California and for anyone who prefers a shorter-bladed auto we made the Launch 4. The Launch 4 sports a blade of just 1.9 inches, nice and legal. And pretty handy, too.
The blade is high-performance CPM154 steel. This powdered metallurgy steel has more uniform distribution of carbides so it takes and holds an excellent edge, provides good corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and toughness. The blade is DLC coated for an additional measure of blade protection and non-reflective good looks. Then to lighten the Launch 4's weight, we made the handle and integrated backspacer of durable aluminum, anodized in black.
The Launch 4 opens with a push button, recessed so that it is level with the flat of the handle. This is a safety feature and makes it harder for the knives to accidentally deploy. For left-handed use, press the blade-release/lock button with your index finger instead of your thumb. The Launch 4 has a single-position pocketclip and carries tip-up.
Automatic knives are dangerous and should be handled with extreme caution in all circumstances. Comply with all local, State, and Federal regulations regarding the purchase, owning, carrying, and transportation of automatic knives.
